THE ADDAMS FAMILY (YOUNG@PART) PRESENTED BY CENTERSTAGE THEATRE COMPANY brings a fresh and original storyline to the beloved, if unconventional, family with a penchant for all things macabre.
This original The Addams Family story is the stuff of fathers' nightmares. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family - a man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams faces a nearly impossible task, something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents.
The Addams Family Young@Part® is the authorized 65-70 minute edition of the Broadway musical for youth theatres. This musical explores issues of communication and acceptance and that it is okay to be different a timely discussion for todays youth.
