THE BIGGEST little NEW WORKS FESTIVAL A Week of Locally Sourced New Theatricals and Writings for the Stage

The seventh annual BIGGEST little New Works Festival at Brüka Theatre is a showcase for original works featuring traditional and nontraditional pieces created by local and regional artists. Some of these writings have gone on to perform in National Fringe Festivals. This small festival features 10 staged readings with workshops and more over 4 days in our downtown Sub-Brüka space. Readings range from monologues to full-length productions. Groups receive a portion of the ticket sales.

SYNOPSIS: A story of love, loss, and the trials of life through the eyes of four people too entangled with each other to see clearly. David, a young college student, meets with his adopted sibling Eleanor. They struggle with a severe attachment to one another that wears on both their mental stability. David discusses his worry about Elizabeth, a young broken thing in a relationship with David, that is meeting with her abusive ex-boyfriend, Jake, to make amends. The thin string of trust between these four is fraying quickly and the ability to rectify what has been lost is nearly gone.
