Comedy on Elm Street with Paul Nardizzi, Dave Russo, Amy Tee and Jason Merrill
Comedy returns to Millbury with a show featuring two former Boston Comedy Festival winners who have gone out to carve reputations in the national comedy world.
Paul Nardizzi (Conan, Comedy Central) and Dave Russo (Dirty Water TV) heads up a cast that also includes Amy Tee and Jason Merrill. Produced by Scamps Comedy show features four very different, very funny comedy voices.
Showtime is 9:30, and tickets are $15 in advance, $18 the door on show night. Tickets are available on line or by calling 800-838-3006, or at the theater.
Strand favorite Paul Nardizzi is one of the country's top comedians. With a rapid-fire style, he's made multiple standup appearances on NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Fox Sports' Best Damn Sports Show Period, as well as on Comedy Central and with Nick DiPaolo and Artie Lange on Direct TV. Winner of the Boston Comedy Festival, his CD has been played on XM-Sirius Satellite Radio.
NESN Dirty Water TV host Dave Russo is one of New Englands best comedians. The former Boston Comedy Festival winner has performed at more than 200 colleges and top venues across the country and has worked with heavyweights such as The Bare Naked Ladies, Dave Chappelle, Lewis Black, and on events such as Denis Learys Comics Come Home, The 9/11 Benefit show, Wayne Newton's USO Tours, and Boston Strong benefits. He received national attention as a finalist on the E! series The Entertainer.
Not every crazy looks crazy, says Amy Tee, the comedian who employs a boyish charm with dry wit as she delves into some serious subjects shes dealt with alcoholism and mental illness in a hilarious way. Identified by the Boston Globe as a comedian to watch, and in Curve magazine as one of the "funniest lesbians in America," Amy Tee toured nationally and was a featured comedian in the film, Laughing Matters-The Next Generation.
Jason Merrill is the latest from a recent line of strong comedians from the great city of Lawrence, Massachusetts. He has impressed audiences with his streetwise style and good-natured exuberance. Drawing upon his own experiences, he finds the funny in everyday life. He has shared the stage with accomplished comedians such as Juston McKinney, Lenny Clarke, Christine Hurley, Joe Yannetty, and Steve Sweeney.
