Candlelight Mini Retreat
Celebrate the festive season by taking a breath to let stillness in. Yoga to ease stress, pranayama to strengthen the lungs against the chill of winter, meditation to calm, ending with the deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra by candlelight. Shared space just for you.
This retreat will focus on easing anxiety and tension, bringing stillness through deepening the breath, using techniques and postures that strengthen the lungs and warm the body in preparation against the chill of winter. At this time of year, it is important to allow a healthy drawing inwards. I will guide us through individual yoga postures that encourage good breathing practice, release tension in the shoulders and neck, improve circulation and settle the emotions. Practice is at a slower pace, attuned to the breath, enabling a strong connection between body, mind and the present moment.
We will use yoga nidra to experience a state of deep tranquillity and round off our session with loving kindness meditation, in gratitude to those who support us, and offering loving kindness to those without such support.
In the run up to Christmas, energy can run low with demands on our time spiralling often beyond our control. This retreat is a breathing space to let go of tension, restore vitality and enable us to reconnect with our true selves with kindness and calm.
