Mamma Mia
The Free Theatre has been formed by a group of dedicated high school seniors who have the desire and drive to create a non-profit 501(c)3, student-run, tuition-free company for students who are passionate about creating theater.
In this company, students will be at the helm of the creative process, working onstage, offstage and on the production side (in any area of interest that appeals to them, whether it be direction, music, costumes, PR, choreography, tech, set design, stage management, props, etc.) to help make the shows possible.
Mamma Mia is our inaugural production!
As a part of this performance weekend, The Free Theatre will be holding a drive to benefit Food and Friends. Audience members are encouraged to bring toiletries, low/no sodium canned goods, boxed goods (such as dry milk, whole wheat pasta and tortillas, brown rice, skillet dinners and non-sugar cereals), new cooking supplies, flour, cooking oil and low-sugar mixes to the show (please avoid glass containers). We thank you for your support in helping us to give back to those in the DC community that are most in need during this time of year.
