Come in your comfy clothes for a fun afternoon movie screening at the home of Dame Gina Voci, followed by an Indian dinner by Dame Chandra Ram, straight out of her new book, The Complete Indian Instant Pot Cookbook.
We will watch "The Hundred Foot Journey" starring Helen Mirren, which is the delightful story of a young, talented chef from India. When he and his family are displaced from their native India and settle in a quaint French village, they decide to open an Indian eatery. However, Madame Mallory (Helen Mirren), the proprietress of an acclaimed restaurant just 100 feet away, strongly objects. War erupts between the two establishments, until Madame Mallory recognizes Kadam's impressive epicurean gifts and takes him under her wing.
We'll enjoy some Indian snacks during the movie, and afterward, we'll enjoy a taste of India with an early supper prepared by Dame Chandra Ram from her book, The Complete Indian Instant Pot Cookbook, and our host, Dame Gina Voci will pair some delicious French wines with the Indian fare.
