Cocktails & Conversations: Working Women of Color
WFRI has partnered with the Economic Progress Institute to take a deeper dive into our Status of Working Women in Rhode Island report. The new infograph will focus women of color and their experience in the workplace and our economy. The data will be used to support policymaking that addresses inequities in communities of color.
Our new research has been released! On January 30, WFRI will host a Cocktails & Conversations: Working Women of Color event at the Tech Collective, with a distinguished panel of speakers who will discuss ways to address the issues brought to light by the research. Our panelists will include: - Tranesha West, Organizer for RI Working Families - Angela Ankoma, Executive Vice President and Director of Community Investment for United Way of Rhode Island - Rachel Flum, Executive Director, Economic Progress Institute -Representative Grace Diaz
The event is sponsored by IGT and the research is funded by Nordson Corporation Foundation.
Thank you to our food and drink sponsors: Troop, Narragansett Beer, Granny Squibbs and Bottles Fine Wines. (All of the wines served come from women owned vineyards)!
