Boston Sings Dylan! Benefit for Immigrant Justice
The Social Justice Action Committee of First Church in Jamaica Plain (UU) and Low Budget Records present "Boston Sings Dylan!", a benefit concert for the Boston Immigrant Justice Accompaniment Network (BIJAN, www.beyondbondboston.org). The show is the CD release concert for "Dylanology", a compilation of 36 covers of Dylan's best work by over 20 different artists.
BIJAN is a direct support/mutual aid network for those who have been detained by ICE in the Boston area. Money raised from the event will support BIJAN's Bond & Legal Defense Fund, which goes directly towards helping folks get out of immigration jail.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You have the option to make an extra donation for BIJAN. However, since donation "purchases" can only be processed through PayPal, please check out in a separate transaction to make a donation. The PayPal account is labeled "First Church JP Capital Campaign" but the Church will send your generous donation to BJIAN via its Social Justice Action Committee. We apologize for the two-step process, but we are very grateful for such donations. Thank you!
