Meet the Filmmaker: Directors Paul Lovelace and Jessica Wolfson
An elegiac chronicle of a bygone era (the 60's) and celebration of a late-night radio host on WBAI-FM in New York, Bob Fass. Mr. Fass was an influential voice in broadcasting and a witness to the times whose ideals and follies he helped to articulate. Interviews with Judy Collins and Arlo Guthrie, WBAI staff members, and others document the tumultuous times of social and political change.
"Rarely has any film, fictional or documentary, captured the hypnotic effect of voices on the airwaves like this chronicle of Bob Fass." Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News
"Long before Occupy Wall Street, there was Bob Fass, the legendary overnight host on WBAI whose 50-year career is lovingly saluted in the documentary Radio Unnamable." V.A. Musetto, New York Post
"The charm of Radio Unnameable is, finally, elegiac. It can make you wishor, if you're lucky, rememberthat you were a sleepless New Yorker in 1967, kept from loneliness by a gentle, soulful voice on the radio. " A.O. Scott, The New York Times
