Keepwell Vinegar - Demo and Tasting / Free Gift
Slow Food Philly is partnering with the Philadelphia Women's Culinary Guild to present KEEPWELL VINEGAR, a partnership of two former pastry chefs, Sarah Conezio and Isaiah Billington. The versatility of fermentation allows them to work with a wide variety of crops, utilize 'ugly' seconds that would otherwise go unsold, buy in bulk during seasonal gluts, and support the best and most responsible farmers. They will talk about the process of vinegar production and share ideas for creative vinegar drinks/cocktails and provide a cooking demo, using Philabundance ABUNDANTLY GOOD brand cheese. This retail food brand proceeds go to rescue and produce free, high-quality food for local people experiencing hunger. A portion of the proceeds from your admission will also be donated to Philabundance. EVERYONE WILL RECEIVE A COMPLIMENTARY LIMITED-EDITION BOTTLE OF THEIR VINEGAR. There will also be product for sale (cash or credit cards accepted).
