St Catherine's PTA Lecture 2018 - 7 Secrets of Raising Girls
Having a daughter is wonderful - most of the time. From the moment her presence is felt, parents want to know how to raise her, and wonder who shell become. Her parents, family, and a wide network of friends and role models are all needed to help her grow up happy, motivated and safe.
How do we help our 21st century daughters to feel confident, resilient, fulfilled in love and work, and well equipped for their futures? How do we do a great job in raising our daughters in a world obsessed with image, screens and full of stress?
This event will explore the themes from Judy Reith's latest book: 7 Secrets of Raising Girls Every Parent Must Know
From zero to leaving home: what to expect, what she needs most. 5 scary things she, and you, will have to deal with. Dads what she needs you to do. Mums how to be her role model without the guilt.
"Judy Reith's talk gave the most sensible and much needed advice, and she delivered it with humour and empathy reassuring anxious parents. I would highly recommend Judy as a parenting speaker." Barbara Elliott, Headmistress, Channing School.
The FREE lecture, made possible thanks to your support of the PTA, is open to both Prep and Senior school parents. It will be held in the Auditorium at St Catherines School, Station Road, Bramley, Surrey GU5 0DF. The lecture starts at 7.30pm and the doors and bar will be open from 7pm for drinks and light refreshments and again after the lecture for socialising.
