"Mountain" makes cinematic history by being the first ever U.S. financed, North Korean produced film. Highly successful screenings at the Hawaii International Film Festival and The Peace on Earth Film Festival out of Chicago have made it an international sensation.

A story about a romance between a North Korean nurse and a South Korean soldier she cares for during the Korean War, director Jang has turned this "Romeo and Juliet" plot into a moving modern-day story. Separated after the war, diplomatic relations make it near impossible for these two reunite. Finally, after decades they have their chance to be with each other again.

Producer Joon Bai, a North Korean born American, managed, after years of wrangling, to shoot this movie in North Korea with an entirely North Korean cast and crew. He will be in attendance to discuss the movie.
