Svetlana and the Delancy Five

The San Luis Obispo County Jazz Federation is excited to present Svetlana and the Delancy Five in a special Holiday Concert on Saturday night Dec. 8th at the Unity Concert Hall (1130 Orcutt Road/SLO). The concert starts at 7:30pm (doors open at 7:00).

Svetlana and the Delancy Five is a collaboration of New York City veteran jazz musicians led by the young, exciting vocalist Svetlana Shmulyian. Their exhilarating shows combine the charm of Svetlana's sultry, swinging vocals with the excitement and power of a little big band. The group has appeared to rave reviews in premier jazz clubs throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Please note that local standouts Dave Becker (reeds), Bob Bennett (trumpet) and bassist Matthew Evans will be included as part of the Delancy Five backing Svetlana's vocals.

Tickets are $25 for general admission; $20 for Jazz Federation members and $15 for students. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets and at Boo Boo Records in SLO.
