MOCO SHOWDOWN: FREE STATE'S HOME SEASON OPENER
Come see the Black-Eyed Suzies of Free State Roller Derby take on the Blockstars of Pottstown Roller Derby Rockstars in the ultimate MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHOWDOWN. There can be only one!
Doors open at 7:30 P.M.! This will be the first hometown bout of the season and you won't want to miss it!
TICKET PRICING: $12 online. $15 at the door.
Admission is free for children under six years old.
This is a family-friendly event so bring your little ones! Bleacher seats are limited, but there will be space for your blanket or stadium chair to watch derby picnic style.

FREE STATE TO SUPPORT MONTGOMERY COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY
At every home bout, Free State supports a local nonprofit or charity in an effort to give back to the community. This Saturday, Free State will be collecting the following items for the Montgomery County Humane Society, the largest animal welfare organization in Montgomery County, providing shelter and care to thousands of homeless animals every year. In a Wish-List Drive to support dogs, cats, and other animals, the following is a list of some of the items that you can bring to help support the MoCo Humane Society:
Newspapers (no inserts, not subscriptions)
Salt-free ice melt -- "safe for pets"
Anti-bacterial soap in pump dispensers
Batteries in the following sizes: "AA," "C," "9V"
Dawn liquid dishwashing detergent
Unopened bags of dry pet food -- any type
Canned pet food -- any type
Squeaky toys (no rope, no buttons)
Leashes and dog collars
Catnip mice (no feathers)
Cat teasers, and washable toys (no fur or feathers)
And look for the table at the bout that will feature literature on how MoCo Humane Society offers public education on topics like the importance of spaying and neutering, animal behavior and training, responsible pet ownership, emergency preparedness, and protecting wildlife.
ABOUT OUR LEAGUES
This event is brought to you by Free State Roller Derby (FSRD). As the only women's, flat-track roller derby league in Montgomery County, MD, FSRD is hometown and homegrown. Founded in November 2009, FSRD is 100% volunteer-run by a growing group of devoted skaters, Fresh Meat, referees, and non-skating officials.
Our guests are: Pottstown Roller Derby Rockstars, an all woman's flat-track roller derby league out of Pottstown, PA.
