Gardens of Note 2013
This popular self-guided tour will take you to five gardens located in and around La Conner, WA. The gardens are chosen for their variety, and you will see smaller, well-designed town gardens as well as more informal gardens carved out of farmland. The tour provides excellent views of the town of La Conner, the Swinomish Channel, and the fields of the La Conner flats. Live music is performed at each site. Come early and have breakfast in La Conner, or come later for lunch. If you prefer, you can bring a picnic to enjoy outside. Allow a half-day to see all the gardens. The proceeds from this event benefit the Skagit Symphony's programs. Unfortunately, because of uneven terrain and sensitive plantings, wheelchairs and strollers cannot be accommodated.
