Your garden is literally crawling with bugs! Some are helpful - providing pollination services and eating harmful insects. Others devour your plants - wreaking havoc on your garden and decimating your harvest.
Join Todd Murray, WSU Extension Skamania County Entomolgist, for a fascinating workshop on how to identify the beneficial and harrmful bugs in your garden and for easy techniques that will help to tip the balance in favor of the good guys.
The presentation will cover garden practices you can use to help your plants resist attack. You'll also learn about "beetle banks" and why you should include some pest-attracting plants in your garden design.
The classroom presentation will be followed by a bug hunt in our organic garden. Dress for the weather and for getting dirty as we will be collecting bugs.
This workshop is put on in conjunction with Clark County Environmental Services.
