Delusions of Grandeur
Magician's Magician Returns to Bellingham See The Invisible Saturday, April 27, 8 PM
"Magicians around the world learn from Joey Pipia," says Paul Romany, editor and publisher of VANISH International Magic Magazine. Joey's regular column teaches magicians to be better performers. VANISH International Magic Magazine is the trade magazine for professional magicians. "Joey Pipia's magic is invisible," adds colleague and magician Kevin Wolfe (who appears nationally himself), adding, "he fools me. That never happens. And, his magic is completely original, so you'll not see it anywhere else; he's world class."
The invisible and original world class magic of Joey Pipia is featured in, Delusions of Grandeur, presented for one show only, Saturday, April 27th 8 pm, at The Cirque Lab of the Bellingham Circus Guild at 1401 6th Street.
Expect to be dazzled by this stage show crafted from years of unique experiences.
Delusions of Grandeur will be performed at this summer's Oregon Country Fair (OCF). Pipia is a long time performer, writer and producer of the legendary Stage Left Vaudeville Show at OCF. His escape from a straightjacket while hanging 80 feet above Water Street in downtown Port Townsend was featured on Seattle NPR's KUOW Presents, he'll perform at this year's international Moisture Festival, and tours regularly with The New Old Time Chautauqua and The Flying Karamazov Brothers.
Delusions of Grandeur is a seventy-five minute one-of-a-kind theatrical event where wonder and the absurd are presented as one; the audience leaves affirmed in the belief that life is profoundly marvelous. No fancy boxes, no smoke or mirrors. Instead, it's just the magic; straight up, fast paced, funny, and amazing.
Pipia is back in Bellingham after his 2011 sold out The Magic Chamber: 30 seats, 60 minutes, one outrageous event. That intimate show toured the Northwest culminating in a sold out run at Seattle's Intiman Theater.
Pipia has appeared in film, on TV, and on stages across the country.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 seniors and for kids under 12 years. Tickets may be purchased online from Brown Paper Tickets at http://www.brownpapertickets.com, by calling 800-838-3006; or locally at the Bellingham Food Coop downtown. The Cirque Lab is located at 1401 6th Street.
