Camper Van Beethoven: CD Release Party
Arena Theater hosts the celebrated indie band, Camper Van Beethoven, as they celebrate the release of their long overdue greatest hits album, titled Popular Songs, to mark the 25th anniversary of the band's founding. The songs on this CD trace the band's broad and often eclectic influences from punk rock (Club Med Sucks) and ska (Border Ska) to Eastern European flavored instrumentals (Skinhead Stomp) and two-step country (Sad Lover's Waltz). Also included are the early college radio favorites, The Day Lassie Went to the Moon, Good Guys & Bad Guys and their best known number, Take the Skinheads Bowling, which is still a staple on alternative, college and rock radio. Over the years CVB's talented band members have played with a wide range of artists including Cracker, Eugene Chadbourne, and The Monks of Doom. For more information see the band's website: www.campervanbeethoven.com. Doors open at 7:30 for this exciting event. Arena Theaters concessions and beer and wine bar will be open.
