About Sonata a Quattro: The period-instrument ensemble Sonata à Quattro (SAQ) was formed in 2017, as the Ensemble-In-Residence for Bach Around The Clock (BATC), an annual community music festival in Madison, WI. The ensembles name refers to baroque chamber music scored for three melody lines plus continuo. SAQ's debut performance was on March 4, 2018, on Sunday Afternoon Live at the Chazen concert series on the UW-Madison campus. Coverage of this performance resulted in BATC and SAQ being featured on the website of Early Music America. Since that time, SAQ has performed at BATC, Madison Early Music Festival's "Bach's Birthday Bash" fundraiser, and a fringe concert at the Madison Early Music Festival. More information about SAQ available on the website: https://sonataaquattro.com/
