The award winning physical comedians of the Picklewater clown cabaret return this may with an original variety arts show in celebration of and to benefit a San Francisco's truly unique medical clown project. The show is directed by acclaimed local director and star of Cirque Du Soliel and the pickle family circus Jeff Raz.
With a cast of clowns, acrobats and musicians from all across the bay area and around the world, this may's cabaret is filled with physical comedians who have been entertaining international audiences for decades, along side a broad spectrum of special guests, including Vaudeville Nouveau with Dan Mankin, Mark Sackett, and Jeff Raz performing together for only the second time in over 2 decades, wild mind-bending contortion from Fleeky and Buka, Faeble Kievman's jar juggling, legendary actor and pickle circus clown Joan Mankin in a scene from the new play "abnormally funny", Mahsa Matin, Bruce Glaseroff, Linie Orrick, Calvin Kai Ku, and music by Shira Kamman, Audrey Spinzola, James Sundquist and Johannes Mager.
About the medical clown project:
The medical clown project provides therapeutic medical clowning as an integrated component of care for adult and pediatric patients and their families in bay area hospitals. The clowns also benefit the community milieu by lightening the mood of healthcare providers and staff. MCP is currently working on over 20 units, from pediatrics to Alzheimer's, at California Pacific Medical Center, Laguna Honda Hospital and on Lok Lifeways.
