Tales of Attraction and Distraction An evening of short plays by Jack Rushton
This collection of one act plays will feature sixteen actors and showcase six directors all of whom are part of the TASN family of artists. This production will premier all seven of Rushton's new plays. The plays offer a full spectrum of human interaction, from outrageous to deeply poignant.
Two plays on the program will be part of larger festivals. NeverLand Station is one of three shorts to be selected by The Penobscot Theater Co.'s Northern Writes Festival in Maine, to be presented on The Bangor Opera House stage. Remembering Elizabeth is a finalist at The Lakeshore Player's 10-minute Festival outside of Minneapolis, and will be presented by TASN at the 2013 Boston Theater Marathon at The Boston Center for the Arts as well. These plays contain adult themes and are not suitable for younger audiences.
All proceeds to benefit TASN. The Actors Studio of Newburyport is a 501(c)(3) corporation. The theater is wheelchair accessible from the Water Street entrance.
