An Evening with LA Opera Featuring Lisa See and Nathan Wang
Join us for an outdoor evening with LA Opera on the loggia of The Huntington Art Gallery. Author Lisa See and composer Nathan Wang discuss their collaboration on the opera "On Gold Mountain," based on See's nonfiction book, and examine the question of how East "meets" West in contemporary music and drama. Performance excerpts will highlight the discussion, moderated by Mitchell Morris, professor of musicology at UCLA.
