Tell Me More  Sex, Drug, and Rock Stars

Master Storytellers. Have you ever been riveted by a great teller of tales?

Thu. Nov. 29 at 7:30pm $10 adv./$10 door seated  ages 21 +

Tell Me More, is a spoken word performance group that believes in the power of self-expression and creativity to entertain and transform. This deep and hysterical incarnation of authentic storytelling, Sex, Drugs and Rock Stars, features themes including but not limited to: being attacked by wild dogs on acid in India, sleeping with a Rock Star, navigating the world of anti-depressants, being a late bloomer, keeping oneself vibrant, and much, much more.
Stories, are universal (archetypal) and witnessing people share intimate material thru story telling touches the collective spirit of humanity. Hearing another's story allows us recognize the common bonds we share. Tell Me More was created by local Santa Cruz, CA writers and artists Janet Croteau and Laurie Guerin who both believe that the creative process is healing and transformative. And funny.
Janet Croteau, co-producer of Tell Me More, is a quirky songwriter, comedian, spoken word artist - and psychotherapist. She believes that if you water down who you are, that the real people will never find you.
Laurie Guerin is a late bloomer who believes that the best stories come from everyday life.
Co-producer of Tell Me More, she is honored to collaborate with openhearted people who find the courage to be vulnerable and have something to say.
Nicolette Nasr is an artist. She escaped from Palo Alto to find her true self in Santa Cruz here acting, writing, family and community is her focus.
Sarah MacEwan is an therapist who believes in self-expression as a path to healing and wholeness. Sarah loves being on stage, talking about feelings and any joke with your mom in the punchline.
Stacey Platt migrated from the east coast six years ago and still can't shake being early to things.
Ed Croteau likes to fish, play guitar and provide a fun and comfortable living environment for his dogs.
