A four-time Grammy nominee for "Best Jazz Vocal Album", Tierney Sutton is often described as "a singer's singer", but just as often, she is described as a "musician's singer", who uses her voice like an instrument. The band's CDs have consistently topped the US jazz radio charts. Tierney has been Jazzweek's Vocalist of the Year, has received the LA Jazz Society's Vocalist award, and has been at the top of critics and listener's polls.

Sutton is a master of stretching notes, repeating words for emphasis, scatting to emphasize a melody. She also uses her hands to great effect to add a visual component that underscores the lyric she is singing. The solo space afforded all players and their hip musicality is always a marvel to watch and to hear.

Tierney will be making a rare appearance in this intimate venue as she travels from a week-long gig at Birdland in NY and heads out to the North Sea Jazz Festival. This is an evening that should not be missed!
