Julia Mark at the Homegrown Coffeehouse
Join us for an evening with this dynamic performer who was just nominated for a Boston Music Award as Singer-Songwriter of the Year. The endearing warmth and charm of Julia Mark's music and voice has quickly made her a favorite in the Boston music scene. As a singer-songwriter and pianist, she creates lyric-driven, optimistically dissonant songs about life on the moon, loss of memory, shifting homes, and palindromes. With the songwriting penchant of Carole King and the soft-easy vocal of Suzanne Vega, Julia is for the listener who likes to transcend into a musical and visual scene. Julia was a 2016 Iguana Music Fund grantee, spurring the creation of her first full-length album, Gemini". This August, she was nominated for a New England Music Award as Songwriter of the Year. JULIA MARK at the Homegrown Coffeehouse, Saturday, October 27, at 8:00 P.M,along with bassist Forrest Pettengill.
The Homegrown Coffeehouse is located at the First Parish Unitarian Church, at the corner of Great Plain and Dedham Avenue in Needham center. There is free parking and full handicapped accessibility. Admission is $15.00 / $12.00 students & seniors to benefit the Church.
