This fall Workhaus delivered Trista Baldwin's sharp and funny Kill Me Don't Go. Now comes another bold, unique world premiere theater event from Alan Berks, creator of the pulsating Music Lovers and adaptor of the "inspired" and "brilliantly done" Six Characters in Search of an Author: THE GREAT DIVIDE.
He's an underdog candidate for Minnesota's 8th Congressional district, so a middle-aged Republican agrees to an interview with a liberal Twin Cities blog in order to attract sympathy and donations from the national Tea Party movement. But the young journalist who shows up has a few of her own surprising tricks, and now it's a chess match - Red versus Blue. This insightful and biting new play explores the venomous divide between our personal lives and our political beliefs.
