Paul Grunberg Memorial Bach Concert
Eugene Drucker is a founding member of the Emerson String Quartet, which has over thirty acclaimed recordings and nine Grammy Awards. Mr. Drucker also maintains an active solo career. He has appeared with the orchestras of Montreal, Brussels, Antwerp, Liege, Hartford, Richmond, Omaha, Jerusalem and the Rhineland-Palatinate, as well as with the American Symphony Orchestra and Aspen Chamber Symphony. Mr. Drucker has recorded the complete unaccompanied works of Bach, recently reissued by Parnassus Records, and the complete sonatas and duos of Bartók for Biddulph Recordings. Mr. Drucker's compositional debut, a setting of four sonnets by Shakespeare, was premiered in 2008.
Ms. Stroke has performed in chamber music and solo recitals internationally. She is a founding member of The Apollo Trio, which has performed to critical acclaim in the United States and in Europe The New York Times described Sroke's playing as "splendid" and 'delightfully extroverted." Her solo performances have included recitals throughout the former Soviet Union, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the United States and Canada, concerto appearances in the United States, France, Germany and Austria.
