Written by José Rivera, Marisol is about a young Puerto Rican woman living in New York whose guardian angel must leave her to fight in a war against god, and that's just the beginning. The play is rife with fantastical elements and an eerie political landscape in which life and death, safety and danger, are in constant struggle with one another. It is an action-packed play jumping between the uncomfortable, the comedic, and the somber.
