Vancouver's plastic orchid factory is in Calgary for Digital Folk... and while they're in town, they're offering a workshop on sight, sensation, memory and composition!

Our time together will unfold as a series of directed improvisations that explore how we feel and how we remember. Individually, we will consider how we want to be in our bodies, how we want to reach and fall and play with gravity. With a buddy, we will play with seeing and being seen and look at how this relationship shapes some of the choices we make as we build and compose dances shaped out of our desires. We will listen to music quietly. Well tell stories and practice listening. Well do absolutely nothing. Well play with remembering and composing with found things. At some point, we will also listen to music very loud.

The workshop will be co-led by James Gnam, Natalie LeFebvre Gnam and Vanessa Goodman.
