Title 24 Training Program
Presented By: kapi Architecture Inc. Program Description: Okapi Architecture is offering a series of training events in southern California, funded by Southern California Edison. The training provides a 60-90 minute summary of the most recent changes to Title 24, and offers tips on how to effectively utilize the Energy Code ACE website This training round is a next-level presentation that also discusses Prescriptive vs. Performance issues and ZNE strategies. Learning Objective: Attendees will leave the training with a basic working knowledge of the changes to Title 24. They will also have an initial orientation about the benefits of referring to and using the Energy Code ACE website that offers a wide variety of tools conducive to implementing the updated standards. Attendees will also view projects that have successfully implemented the changes in Title 24 as best practice examples. The presentations are interactive and designed to offer attendees the opportunity to ask key questions.

Instructor Bio Ying Wang , AIA , LEED AP BD+C and O+M and LEED Fellow, is a registered architect in California and other states. She earned master degree in architecture from Virginia Tech University. She has compiled an impressive thirty-plus years in architecture, program management and teaching. As president of Okapi Architecture, she manages multiple multi-million dollar energy programs supported by the Los Angeles Department Water & Power, Southern Gas Company, and Southern California Edison. She provides technical assistance to the Statewide Savings By Design Energy Efficiency program, including Net Zero Energy and other sustainability measures. She has been actively involved in the impressive market growth of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and CHPS (Collaborative for High-Performance Schools) for many years. Believing energy efficiency is the solution to the energy crisis and climate change, she applies innovative solutions on the technical aspects of buildings. She has managed the green schools' program for Los Angeles Unified, San Bernardino City Unified and various southern California charter schools. Approximately 200 existing building renovations, and new schools have been built under her leadership. Those schools provide quality, ene4rgy efficient learning environments for students and teachers.
