Katerina Brown CD Release Celebration

Vocalist Katerina Brown is a singer and professional vocal instructor now based in The San Francisco Bay Area. As recent transplant from her native St. Petersburg, Russia, Katerina brings a lifetime of experience in performing concerts, lecturing as well as performing in international music festivals all around the world.

Katerina was the Main soloist and Ensemble Vocalist for 4 years with The Jazz Orchestra as part of The Cultural Centre of General Directorate of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, St. Petersburg. Katerina studied at The University of Cultural and Art in Saint-Petersburg. She graduated in 2015 with Special Honors as a Concert Vocalist, Ensemble Soloist, and Lecturer.

Katerina also continued her vocal training in New York and The San Francisco Bay Area with Gabriel Goodman (Professor of the Berklee Voice Department, Boston USA), JD Walter (Vocal Instructor of The Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen, Netherlands), Raz Kennedy (Vocal Instructor of The California Jazz Conservatory, Berkeley, CA, USA ) and others. Just recently Ekaterina became a student at the CVI ( Complete Vocal Institute in Denmark - Europe's largest institute for pro and semi- pro singers) in Denmark . She is enrolled in a 3 year program which will earn her a teaching credential as an authorized CVT teacher and she will be the first Russian native to present this vocal technique to the world .

In April 2018 Katerina released her debut CD Mirror. The project features some wonderful musicians including Airto Moreira, Adam Shulman, Gary Brown, Akira Tana, Kenny Washington, Mads Tolling among others. Produced by bassist Gary Brown.
