Intertidal Organisms Without the Risk of Falling
Jerry Kirkhart believes that the reason that many people do not go to the tide pools is because of the dangers of slipping on the slick rocks. So, from the safety of your chair, Jerry will bring the tide pools to you-- a slide presentation of some of the unique and different organisms many can not photograph nor see. Come and see beautiful nudibranchs, red boring sponges, boring clams, geoducks, skeleton shrimp, lined chitons, oystercatchers, octopi, 20 armed sea stars, giant green anemones, and many, many more species living in various tide zones. You will be amazed at the myriad of colors.
You will get to see the best of Jerry's tide pool photos that were all taken at four of our local "hot spot tide pools" over the last several years. The organisms that will be showcased for you will be a treat and will not disappoint. Jerry will share the techniques and tips on how he was able to take these images.
Areas covered will be mud flats, rocky shores, and sandy beaches. You will be amazed at the myriad of colors.
