Mainstage Theatre Company presents THE SECRET GARDEN
About the Show:
Orphaned in India, 11 year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his invalid son Colin. The estate's many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the spirits from Mary's past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden's compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal. (Samuel French)
About the Company:
Established in 2008, MAINSTAGE THEATRE COMPANY is a not for profit, youth musical theatre company dedicated to developing young actors aged 11-21. Our diverse programming offers new and exciting challenges to performers of various levels of experience. Rather than learning through a classroom setting, actors experience first-hand the full process of mounting a professional quality production, from auditions to rehearsals, through to the final performance.
Youth are mentored in the values of collaboration and collective goal-setting, respect for diversity, the importance of responsibility and commitment to others, and dedication to their learning and their craft. Our intensive actor-training program unlocks our students unique and creative talents, and provides the tools that aspiring young actors need to make the most of their potential.
