Love-weary Benedick and his friend Claudio return to Messina after a long stint at war, and find themselves in the company of Beatrice and Hero. As memories of battle give way to a life of celebration and revelry, Claudio and Hero fall deeply in love and Benedick and Beatrice kindle their own contentious courtship. One of the most popular comedies in Shakespeare's canon, Much Ado About Nothing has captivating heroines, dancing wordplay, and the endearing desire to love and be loved in return.
