LA Electroacoustic Ensemble: Contact
Contact is an interdisciplinary concert, featuring the LA Electroacoustic Ensemble (LAEE) and dancers from the Los Angeles community. Works by John Cage as well as members of the ensemble involve spatialized sound with dance, live projection, and improvisation.
LAEE is a composer-performer collective rooted in the chamber music tradition, formed with the intent to improve upon and experiment with performative electronic chamber music. While primarily a laptop quartet, they also utilize hardware synthesizers and acoustic instruments in performance.
