Winter Aglow: Celebrating Nature's Light!
Cantabile Chamber Choir will sing music celebrating the special qualities of natures light in wintertime. Musical selections by Esenvalds, Gjeilo, Whitacre, Lauridsen, and others will highlight the shimmering colors of the Northern lights, the mystery of moonlight, the glow of starlight, Winter solstice festivals, Chanukah, and Christmas.
Audience members who submit a completed concert audience survey form are entered automatically in a drawing after the December 9 concert for a night at the La Conner Channel Lodge.
The twenty-one vocalists of the choir represent many areas of Skagit and Snohomish counties, including Arlington, Anacortes, Camano Island, Concrete, La Conner, Mount Vernon, Oak Harbor, Sedro-Woolley. Dustin Willetts, the Artistic Director, also conducts the Kulshan Chorus in Bellingham, the Sno-King Chorale in Edmonds, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Seattle Childrens Chorus. Cheri Cook-Blodgett, Cantabiles accompanist since 2009, plays piano frequently throughout the area.
Cantabile Chamber Choir is an auditioned choral ensemble dedicated to continual growth in fine music-making. Our repertoire is a mix of traditional choral works, appealing modern pieces, and innovative and enjoyable crossover works. We enthusiastically represent Skagit Valley to the greater Puget Sound region and as far as our music will reach.
