Comedy with Jimmy Dunn at the Lo Kai
Here's a show you don't want to miss!
Jimmy Dunn -- most recently seen on The Fox Pre-Game Show before Patriots-Colts -- headlines as comedy returns to the Lo Kai in Dracut on Saturday, Nov. 3, in an all-star show with Dave Rattigan and Joe Espinola.
Showtime is 8 p.m. and doors open for dinner at 6. Show tickets are $17 in advance on line or at the Lo Kai, or by calling (800) 838-3006. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the event for $20.
Dunn is an actor, writer and stand-up comedian from Boston who co-starred on the CBS comedy The McCarthys, and has recently performed on Conan, and in the Judd Apatow Netflicks series Love. He got his start in the comedy world telling jokes at a bar in Gloucester, where he was paid in beer and fried clams. Since then, he has gone on to perform at the comedy industry's most prestigious events, including Denis Leary's Comics Come Home, Montreal's prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and the Late Show with David Letterman. He recently co-wrote an episode of Peter Farrellys (Dumb & Dumber, Theres Something About Mary) DirectTV series Loudermilk, and co-hosts the Two Boston Guys Whack Up a Pie podcast with Tony V.
Rattigan has performed at Fenway Park, The Cape Cod Melody Tent, a lumberyard, the lobby of an ad agency, the food court at the Square One Mall in Saugus, and a library. His CD has been played on Sirius Satellite Radio, and hes performed on the Steve Katsos Show. Hes done commercials for Olympia Sports and iParty, and performed in Dublin and Kilkenny, Ireland and in Boston with Irish comedians Ardal OHanlon and Joe Rooney. Hes performed at the Hampton Beach Comedy Festival (NH), Boston Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival, and Salem Comedy and Spirits Festival, and shared the stage with Bill Burr, Jeff Dunham, the Beach Boys, Steven Wright, Bob Marley, Nick DiPaolo and more.
Sly and engaging, Espinolas good-hearted sarcasm and droll point-of-view has earned him fans from Boston to Bangor, at all types of venues. Among the comedians he's worked with: Lenny Clarke, Mike McDonald, Paul D'Angelo, and the late, great Kevin Knox.
