Ganin or Konstantin Ganin, in short Kostya Ganin, is one dedicated fellow crazed about a good groove within the realm of electronic music. Inspired by the sounds of techno and house music, Ganin's aim is to bring people together with dance music. His roots originate from Northeastern Europe; specifically, Archangel in the Northwest of Russia, a city of rich cultural heritage and tradition. In 1998, an opportunity presented itself to travel to the United States to learn the English language and experience American culture and society. When Ganin arrived in the Midwest, he met some DJ mentors who presented some of the first opportunities for him to play in front of crowds at various club nights. He quickly learned how to work the audience with the power of a good groove. In 2002, a move to the Northwest in the Seattle area offered more opportunities to collaborate and work internationally in the dance music scene. Ganin then consistently played various public and private events around Seattle. He also appeared as a guest on KBCS 91.3FM local and online electronic music radio shows Variations and Trans Europe Express. He performed at a wide variety of dance music events, club nights, parties and community projects. He played as a guest at such Seattle area venues as Resonance, The Underground, Kremwerk, The Baltic Room, Contour, Substation, Monkey Loft, Republiq, Flight, Sky, Trinity, Element, Noc Noc, Mantra, The Islander cruise boat and others. He co-hosted and hosted several nights as a guest and held several residencies such as Seabiza, Dance Delicious and House Temptations. He also consulted for and promoted Seattle DJ Academy, an organization with a focus on educating, enriching and empowering all ages in the art of DJing. With his regular support for many local events and other artists and DJs, Ganin has remained true to the sound. He madly enjoys unleashing a rocking party experience every time, spinning his signature blend of funky and hard grooving house and techno.
