Slow Food Quarterly Canning Workshop: Pickled Asparagus
Quick, simple and delicious, there's simply no better way to put up tender spring vegetables than pickling! We'll be working with the king of spring vegetables, asparagus, to teach you all you need to know.
In this intimate, hands-on workshop Lis David (founder of Scratch Homemade, General Manager of Green Zebra, and Kendall College grad) will teach you how to enjoy home canning. You will participate in every step as the group learns how to make pickles with regionally grown asparagus.
The class includes all tools and equipments. Please wear closed toe shoes, bring an apron and something to tie your hairback if necessary. Class size is limited to 12, so sign up quickly before this very popular workshop sells out!!!
You'll leave with the knowledge and confidence needed to can at home as well as a few jars of the pickles prepared during class.
