BARAKA MOON comes to Aubergine with its infectious dance pulse of vibrating didge-and-drums and soul-stirring transcendental Sufi trance grooves. The ensemble brings together four world music masters: Sukhawat Ali Khan on vocals and harmonium, didgeridoo virtuoso Stephen Kent (who also plays percussion and bass), drummer Peter Warren, and guitarist Anastasi Mavrides.

The band creates original music with roots based in Qawaali Sufi trance songs, global drums and percussion, plus the Australian Aboriginal didgeridoo, all mixed together in one gloriously expressive and positive whole guaranteed to uplift listeners. Leap into the fire of this magic music! Sebastopol favorite son, DJ DRAGONFLY performs throughout the evening with BARAKA MOON. Dragonfly constantly breaks the DJ mold, spinning an amalgamation of bass culture's most embraced genres with a fearless twist on tempo. Dubstep, Glitch, Downtempo & Dub, Breaks, House and Drum n Bass are all fused to an urban/indigenous Third World vibe where his signatory dance floor grip ranges from "Ecstatic-Liquid-Groove" to "Transglobal-Ghetto-Whomp".
