Monday, May 20, 6:30-8:30PM Equipment Essentials for the Modern Home Cook
How do you make this lovely salad? It takes more than the right ingredients; it also takes a few simple tools. Nothing fancy, but definitely useful.
In this demo and hands-on workshop with Michelle McKenzie, we will explore cooking equipment and utensils that are widely overlooked or underused in many home kitchens. These pieces can help make cooking faster, more successful, an more enjoyable; moreover, they are relatively small and affordable.
We will focus our attention on the various uses for the following tools: microplane chinois and cheesecloth spider spice grinder Japanese mandoline swiss peeler
As we show you how to use each item, we will make the following to enjoy:
spring lettuces, shaved radish, labne, cracked green olives, preserved lemon caramelized cauliflower, sheep's milk yogurt, dukkah almond milk + fresh date smoothie
