Mystic Chorale - Wanting Memories
For 23 years Boston's 200 voice Mystic Chorale has proudly sung songs of hope and praise. Our WANTING MEMORIES theme comes from an Ysaye Maria Barnwell song and its words are central to the concert. "I am sitting here wanting memories to teach me to see the beauty in the world through my own eyes."
The concert/sing will feature Mystic favorites that will inspire and celebrate the human spirit with songs from a variety of musical genres and artists including music of South Africa, Holly Near, Nick Page, Duke Ellington, Jonathan Singleton and Vivaldi. Mix in several Gospel selections, spirituals and an Appalachian hymn and it will be a concert not to be missed!
