Tammi Brown Sings The Lost American JazzBook
JazzBook is being hosted at the home of Paul Brancato, long-time violinist with the San Francisco Symphony. Seating is limited, so please dont wait until the last minute, you're not going to want to miss this one.
Were excited to be introducing the new voice of the JazzBook, Tammi Brown. Tammi has sung with everyone from Quincy Jones to Stanley Jordan to Linda Tillery's Cultural Heritage Choir.
We're also introducing songs from Volume II of the JazzBook: The Sacred and the Swank. It touches on everything from Ellington to James Baldwin to jazz in the key of Arabic. Which is why youll also hear the singing of Tawfic Halaby of the World Harmony Chorus.
The concert will also include JazzBook co-writer, pianist, and musical director Dan Zemelman, and Joseph Hébert on cello. Joe has performed with Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Placido Domingo, among a host of others.
