Joan As Police Woman is the solo project of indie rock icon Joan Wasser. The self-styled 'punk-rock R&B' draws as much from singers such like Al Green and Isaac Hayes as it does The Smiths and Siouxsie Sioux. As evidenced by her latest album The Deep Field, Joan As Police Woman fearlessly dives into the soul and beauty of the human condition. In addition to her own projects, Joan has collaborated with performers ranging from Lou Reed and Hal Willner to Rufus Wainwright and Antony And The Johnsons.
