#CraftingSomethingGreat Summit
This market-based crash course on revitalization will feature real-world examples of what makes a commercial district thrive economically. You will learn how to leverage your buildings and businesses to create hot spots that draw visitors, that offer a great experience, and that consistently remind your community why they want to hang out in the Lincoln Park!

This presentation will break down brick & mortar commerce to its
essential components, with easy to-follow ideas for improvement and information on market trends in the real estate, retail, and restaurant sectors that impact everyone.

Takeaways will include projects that can be implemented right away,
for small sums of money, to improve sales per square foot.

Keynote speaker is Michele Reeves who helped create a pathway for advancement of the Lincoln Park neighborhood during the first summit in 2015.

Michele E. Reeves is an economic strategist with significant private sector experience revitalizing districts.  Her qualifications, derived from over 16 years of work in various facets of real estate and economic development, include facilitating public/private partnerships, marketing unknown or undesirable districts, pre-development consulting, siting manufacturing facilities, strategizing acquisitions and development with private sector investors, and creating retail leasing plans.

Michele founded Civilis Consultants to assist mixed-use districts and large public sector organizations to recognize and leverage their strengths, identify and accomplish economic development goals, and craft their unique stories to create compelling, multi-faceted brands.  Michele has a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
