Wendy Maybury with Sherlonda Sharp
Sherlonda Sharp has been making people laugh, think, and learn since she was 10. In high school, Sherlonda would often entertain her classmates during study hall (sorry Mr. Burns). She became known for her quick wit, likeability, and being "Appropriately Inappropriate".
In 2010, Sherlonda made the only New Year's Resolution she ever kept - to try stand up comedy. By February, she had made her comedy debut at Good Night's Comedy Club in Raleigh, NC and has been loving every moment since then. Sherlonda's disarmingly honest style will have you laughing and thinking long after the show.
Wendy's report cards always said, "Wendy shares too much with her neighbors and disrupts the class." What they should have said was, "Wendy would be an awesome comedian!"
Wendy loves to make people laugh by entertaining them with stories about her crazy Southern family and life's little embarrassments. She placed second in the Funniest Person with a Day Job contest in 2011. She was voted by her peers as "Favorite New Comic & Favorite Female Comic".
She has performed at clubs, schools, corporate events and even at at wedding! Whether she's in a dive bar, or opening for Louie Anderson for several thousand people at the Minneapolis convention center, Wendy Maybury is a comedic force to be reckoned with. Wendy is a comedy superstar in the making, so catch her while she's still humble and gives hugs after the show.
