Scary Cow Writers Lock-in
Carving out the time to write is hard. Some folks do it every day, some a few times per week... and then there are some of us that get our teeth cleaned more often than completing pages.
The Lock-in is your chance to commit to writing for just one day. Bring your laptop or steno pad, some headphones or earplugs, and we'll keep you in coffee and inspirational quotes all day long. Settle on your goal for the day: hash out an outline; write 10 pages you're happy with; flesh out your character bios. Whatever it is, come to the Lock-in with an identified goal you are ready to pummel.
There will be "situation room" with seasoned members of our Writers Group on hand in the event you hit a wall and need counseling.
If you would like to reserve some wall space, we are offering a few spots for anyone with an interest in working visually. Additional materials such as tape, index cards, and markers will be provided for those who purchase this ticket level. Be sure to purchase both the regular SC Member or General Public ticket in addition to the supplemental ticket for wall space. Wall space is very very limited to only 6 spots.
Best of all, once we wrap writing at 6pm, we'll be cracking out some beer and wine to unwind and riff with our fellow writers.
Your ticket gets you:
- A table & chair to set up shop (wifi included)
- Neverending coffee, tea, water, and soda
- Lunch! (Be sure to let us know if you are a vegetarian or have significant dietary restrictions when purchasing your ticket)
- Counseling if you hit a wall
- Beer and wine once 6pm rolls around
For an additional $10, you also get:
- Wall space, at least 6-10 feet wide
- Materials including index cards, tape, & markers
- Input and cheerleading from visual outlining ace, Alexa
Tickets are $20 for Scary Cow members (check your Scary Cow email for the discount code!) and $40 for the General Public. We're cutting off sales at 20, so buy your tickets now before they are GONE.
