ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:
BRIAN POWERS Brian Powers, aka The Raging Parent™, is a nationally recognized stand-up comic whose act has always dealt with the comedic ironies of raising kids, being married and getting old. As The Boston Herald states, Brian Powers regaled the audience with tales about a blue collar guy adjusting to mid-life, middle-class suburbia The Boston Globe writes that, the audience was coaxed into chortles as Brian Powers takes a blue-collar-ish look at lifes myriad confusions and possesses uncanny timing and The Patriot Ledger adds, his tales sparked howling recognition from the crowd
Powers has also made numerous television appearances (such as on the A&E, Comedy Central and Showtime networks) and is regularly featured on radio stations throughout the areas (such as WZOU, WZLX, WBUR, WXKS, and WBZ).
GARY MARINO (HOST) Bostons Gary Marino is a comedian, musician, published author, film-maker and live show producer. He has performed at Laugh Boston, Showcase Live at Gillette Stadium, Newport Grand Casino, Chatham Bars Inn and resorts such as The Cape Codder, Seacrest, Burke Mountain, Wachusett and Gunstock among many other venues. Marino recently opened for acclaimed humorist Loretta LaRoche . He shared the stage with Lenny Clarke at the 5th Annual The Cape Cod Comedy Festival as well as delivered over 200 humorous presentations for Blue Cross Blue Shield between 2004 and 2010. When not hosting shows, charity events and cooking competitions, Marino can be found performing with his comedy band World Gone Crazy: The Comedic Rock & Roll Circus which has been touring New England since 2011.
In the past Marino appeared regularly on ABCs Live With Regis & Kelly, Fox News over 300 radio stations nationwide and in print media such as USA Today and People Magazine. He served as media spokesman for Sheraton Hotels and Blue Cross Blue Shield as well.
Marino got his start in the late 1980s as a producer, writer and on-air side kick on KISS 108FM and has guest hosted on morning shows on WROR-FM and WTKK-FM among others. In the summer of 2017 Gary made multiple appearances guest hosting The Morning Show on North Shore 104.9FM.
RAFI GONZALEZ Rafi Gonzalez has quickly made a name for himself in the New England Comedy scene. In a few short years, Gonzalez has gone from daydreaming about comedy to performing on just about every major stage in the Northeast. With a background as the front man of a touring rock band, Rafi applies this same charisma and energy into his stand-up. Whether its a spot-on impression, hilarious observation or spontaneous audience interaction, Gonzalezs act appeals to crowds of every age and background. His comfort on stage translates well to any and all venues. Colleges, comedy clubs, fundraisers. No stage opportunity is foreign to Gonzalez. Rafi performs regularly at Laugh Boston, COMIX Mohegan Sun, The Rhode Island Comedy Connection, The FunnyBone, Dangerfields in NYC, and Nicks Comedy Stop just to name a few. Gonzalez has performed in the Rogue Island Comedy Festival and won the 2017 Finger Lakes Comedy Festival.
More recently, Gonzalez has produced a series of comedy benefit shows, raising over $15,000 for his native Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Marias devastation. Rafi has shared the stage with notable comedians like Pablo Francisco, Big Jay Oakerson, Mark Normand, Jessimae Peluso, Gilbert Gottfried, TJ Miller, Mitch Fatel, and many, many more.
ABOUT COMEDY LOUNGE MARTHAS VINEYARD The Vineyard's only comedy club features monthly shows and comedians from New York City, Boston and Los Angeles! Some of our comics have included TOM COTTER and KEVIN DOWNEY JR from "AMERICA'S GOT TALENT" and "THE TONIGHT SHOW", DON GAVIN from "LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN" and the FARRELLY BROS MOVIES, KERRI LOUISE FROM "THE VIEW" and "OPRAH". Our other Comics have appeared on "LAST COMIC STANDING" and "LIVE WITH KELLY RIPA".
