An Evening of Live Music, Art, and Friends at Forest and Ocean Gallery, Laguna Beach
Join us at a private VIP gathering at Forest and Ocean Gallery in Laguna Beach, Saturday October 20. Doors open at 6:00. Tour the gallery, take in the beautiful art, enjoy wine and light refreshments, meet people and make new friends.
At 7:00, gather in the performance space for pianist Lica Handa's performance of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue for solo piano, Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf (narrated by Lica's daughter Jane), and more.
Lica Handa is a brilliant and accomplished pianist born in Japan, and began playing piano at the young age of 4. She graduated from the prestigeous Toho Gakuen College of Music in Tokyo, and went on to study in Germany where she received a Meister Diploma from Hochschule fur Musik und Theater in Munich, and soloist diploma at Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende in Stuttgart. She currently lives with her family at her home and studio in Coto de Caza, where she holds private chamber music recitals several times a year. We are thrilled and honored to have her perform in Laguna Beach!
