Dallas Vietty & Bryce Milano
Dallas Vietty & Bryce Milano
Friday, October 26, 2018
Door: 7:30pm
Show: 8:00pm
Admission: $15

Dallas Vietty (accordion) & Bryce Milano (mandolin and octave mandolin) team up as a duo. Vietty and Milano explore music from South America: Forro, Samba, Tango, Venezuelan Waltz, as well as original compositions.

Their approach to the music comes from an American jazz sensibiliity of song form and improvisation over that form. The music chosen for this concert is exciting, rhythmic, and expressive. We think you will enjoy the movement of the rhythm and the sounds of our harmonies, melodies and combined timbres.

More About Dallas Vietty:
As band leader of three groups (Hot Bijouxx, Musette Project, Tempus Fugit) Dallas stays busy on the East Coast concert and festival scene. His groups have performed at some of the top U.S. festivals: Djangology NYC, TEDx Philly, Djangoary Festival, to name a few. As a sideman his performances have taken him to The Iridium Jazz Club NYC, BB Kings Time Square, The Highline Ballroom NYC, the Philadelphia Kimmel CenterVerizon Hall and, not incidentally, The Academy of Music during Django in June.

More About Bryce:
Bryce Milano is a multi-mandolinstrumentalist and songwriter from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He picked up the mandolin at the age of 9 after progressive bluegrass bands like Alison Krauss & Union Station, Newgrass Revival and Nickel Creek piqued his interest in the instrument. His appetite for learning led him to explore bluegrass, jazz, classical, and traditional folk music from around the world and he was soon recognized as a rising talent of the mandolin. After attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston he moved back to his hometown of Philadelphia and began his foray into the realm of singing and songwriting. While he focuses on honing and recording his songwriting material Bryce maintains a busy schedule as a instrumental performer and a private instructor.
